"When reading the first pages of 'Revelations,' people hesitate. Are the many black panels of 'Revelations' a joke or an artsy creation? [....]

'Revelations' is simply a story told in the comics form. In comic art narration, moving from one panel to the next is like moving through time. Put simply, in comic art, space represents time. 'Revelations' uses this principle and a handful of other conventions unique to comic art to tell its story.

The black panels are neither jokes nor artsy creations. They're just what's visible in total darkness. I hope they move you, ... and not just through time."
